The Process.
Welcome! I’m Nick Rose, a photographer and more importantly, a father of two beautiful girls. My daughters, India and Phoenix are 6 and 8 years old, and my love of photographing them is the main reason that I am looking to photograph more families.
I have been an international wedding photographer for 10 years and have been lucky enough to tell wedding stories all over the world. Some of the locations I have photographed weddings at include Hong Kong, India, Dubai, Seychelles, Singapore, USA, Iceland, Caribbean and many more.
I love photographing natural moments and telling stories and having little ones of my own has helped me realise the importance of taking great images of children that captures their personality as they really do grow up so quickly.
I prefer natural and relaxed looking images taken in a natural environment which is why the location I have chosen for this family photography offer is a woodland one. It is the perfect setting for incredible images that you will want to display in your home for years to come.

The Offer.
This offer is for a mini session of whole families of up to 5 people with children from 1-9 years old. Families with children younger or older can participate if there is at least 1 child that falls within the age bracket of 1-9. Families with younger children can participate if your child can sit unaided as this is an outdoor woodland shoot and not a studio shoot so it it not possible to get good shots of children in this location who cannot sit unaided.

The Location.
The location I have selected for my family photoshoot offer is Penn Wood in Buckinghamshire (HP7). One of the largest areas of ancient woodland in the Chilterns and a beautiful setting for relaxed family photography. I will send through an exact meeting point with map once you have a date and time slot chosen. If heavy rain is forecast on the day we can easily reschedule and I will send through details about the location and rescheduling options once you have booked your session.
The Shoot.
The mini session itself will last around 25 minutes, and I aim to make it a relaxed and fun experience and deliver some incredible family photographs for you.
We will spend the first 10 minutes or so capturing a few simple group photographs and combinations so you have some great full family and family combination photographs and then we can relax, have fun and capture some lovely natural images of you all having fun.
The Preparation.
Have a think about what you will wear for the shoot. It’s a natural environment and a relaxed shoot, so nothing too formal is needed, but the idea is to produce images worthy of decorating your home, so it’s worth making an effort to look good. Some families come fully co-ordinated and others prefer to reflect individual styles. Every family is different and the shoot is an outdoor woodland session so just choose based on whatever feels right for your family. I have had families in every range of attire from full suits to welly boots and shorts so take your pick! You can also look through some images in the gallery to get a few ideas on what other families have worn.
After the Shoot
Around a week after the shoot, you will receive a beautiful online gallery for you to view your family images. This will typically contain 30+ images for you to choose from. From there you can select your favourite image to receive your complimentary 5x7 print.
The shoot is entirely free, and you will be able to choose one complimentary print from the shoot. If you love more than one image, then you do have the option to purchase more images from the shoot to decorate your home with. Your gallery will be available for up to 4 days for you to make any additional selections. Pricing information for any additional images you wish to purchase can be found below.
The free print is for families that have not previously taken an offer with me before and is a thank you for allowing me to use a few of my favourite images from your session in my portfolio If you would prefer images not to be used or you have taken a previous offer then you can still go ahead with the shoot and choose not to receive a free print and keep your images private.

The Next Steps
Once you have selected a date and time for your shoot then I will be in touch with details about where to meet, and what we will do if the weather looks wet. The shoot itself will be really relaxed and fun so there’s no need to worry about anything…I promise!

Terms and conditions
Nick Rose will be the sole photographer for the shoot and will be responsible for delivery of the images produced
At least one legaly responsible parent/guardian is required to attend the shoot
A legally resposible parent/guardian is directly responsible for the saftey of the children during the entirity shoot. No dangerous activities will be encouraged and photographs of your family and children will be taken in a typical woodland environment under normal family playtime conditions which must be supervised and decided on by the parent/guardian. Basically if your children like to run around, play with sticks, throw leaves, jump, roll around etc then this is great but their actions during the shoot are your responsibility
A select number of images from your shoot (chosen by me at a later date), may be used on my website/social media for portfolio and marketing purposes and the free print is for families that have not taken out an offer with me previously and is included as a thank you for allowing me to do this. I am more than happy to keep all of your images completely private if you would prefer and you are more than welcome to opt for full privacy instead of taking the free print.
No guarantees can be made about the outcome of the shoot (including but not limited to weather, types of photographs and number of images). Working with children in a natural environment is an unpredictable. Every effort will always be made to deliver the very best experience and images. Images delivered are final and further adjustments are not usually possible. Requests for a couple of minor edits may be considered but only for images purchased as part of a digital package. Further edits beyond what is delivered as part of your gallery is not possible for families only selecting a free print.
The complimentary shoot will include a completely free family photography session with Nick Rose of Pumpkins and Pixies plus a 5x7 print from the shoot which will be delivered around 2-3 weeks once you have made your choice and additional images can be purchased as detailed here. Free prints are provided to families taking their first session with me as a thank you for allowing me to use images in my portfolio but all images can be kept private if you would prefer by not selecting a free print.
If you have previously received a complimentary print from me as part of any other offer from Pumpkins and Pixies at least 12 months prior then you are still welcome take the offer of a complimentary session without a free print and images will still be available to view and purchase after your session.
Only one complimentary session of any kind can be taken per family within any 12 month period
